Overcoming Impostor Syndrome as a Photographer

With the overwhelming amount of photographs now available on the internet and on other mass media networks, anyone could feel like all poses and photography styles have already been thought of. The truth is that even though we might feel this way, we shouldn’t let our fear of not being original get in the way of letting us capture faces and events that carry meaningful stories. Whether you are on Instagram or in the field trying to post the most original photos ever, there is no doubt that it’s probably already been done before. This following post talks about the imposter syndrome. I’m not sure if this is funny, but the diagnosis kind of makes me laugh even though the content that Jen brings to light is actually both interesting and stress-relieving. Enjoy!

Hi! I'm Nayla Carrasco, the creative face and owner behind Mrs. Nayla. I love to read and write, travel, take pictures, set my kitchen, draw, and paint on canvas. As an English teacher, I like to research and share my knowledge about anything related to education and the world I see on social media and through my blog. When I'm not studying, teaching, painting, cooking, or capturing life's moments behind a camera lens, I'm busy spending time with my family.
