Biscochos

I am in sugar heaven! Loving these biscochos (Mexican wedding cookies) that my mom made. Well, she didn’t really make them for me, but I love bringing some home with me every time I go visit her. The little white empanadas are small shortbread cookies folded like a mini taco the size of your thumb, coated with confectioners sugar, and filled with dreamy and indulging strawberry jelly. The anise star shaped ones are sprinkled (ok, covered) in natural brown sugar and cinnamon. You would probably think I really am eating in slow motion. I make eating them that good, haha!

Although I already ate all of them up, here’s a little bit of eye candy.

Hi! I'm Nayla Carrasco, the creative face and owner behind Mrs. Nayla. I love to read and write, travel, take pictures, set my kitchen, draw, and paint on canvas. As an English teacher, I like to research and share my knowledge about anything related to education and the world I see on social media and through my blog. When I'm not studying, teaching, painting, cooking, or capturing life's moments behind a camera lens, I'm busy spending time with my family.
