At first glance, it was a purple sea anemone! I swear. š
My journey in the photography world manifests many adventures; some of which I do not have to travel too far to experience. The other day I wandered around my brother’s property and found these pretty and curious flowers that seemed to remind me of a purple sea anemone. It did cross my mind that the Permian Basin was once underwater and had marine life… but the resemblance of these flowers and the sea anemone is but a mere coincidence. The chances of this flower being an evolved organism of an actual sea anemone are impossible considering that the sea anemone is not a plant, but an animal. Still, though… can you see what I see? Let me know if you know what this plant is š

This little dude flew out of nowhere for the show š

… and brought a friend lol!

Ok, now lets compare this flower with a sea anemone… was I right or was I wrong? Lol! Learn more about sea anemones at Wonderopolis and about the Permian Basin’s underwater history here.
Much love always,
