5 Shipping Tips for Poshmark

First of all, if you’ve sold something on Poshmark, then I am happy to say… Congrats!! Yay!image

One of the most important things about shipping on Poshmark is making an impression. You want your customers to receive their items in the condition you sold them, and you also want them to feel special when they open their package. You know why? Because at the end of the day, it is the little details that usually keep your customers coming back for more. So why not get crafty and have some fun?

TIP 1:   Make sure your items are clean. No one wants to receive dirty or wrinkled clothes, nor smudged jewelry. Polish your clothing for their best. This means using a lint roller and taking it to the cleaners or ironing it. If you notice a stain you didn’t see before listing your item, I’d suggest to contact the buyer. Otherwise, you’re going to get some very negative feedback. Unhappy customers are a NO-NO. image

TIP 2:   Pretty folding! I know you probably aren’t as obsessed as I am when it comes to folding laundry, but I will tell you this: 50 points for folding your clothes nicely before placing it in a box. If you don’t know how to fold at all, no problem! Here is a site I think you might find useful for this purpose: 4 Folding Hacks You Need To Know . It’s better to try folding than to just crumble it in a ball and ship it off! (smh)image

TIP 3:   Use tissue paper. Raise your hand if you love opening presents on Christmas! Come on, the best part about receiving a package is the excitement created from the curiosity of what is in the tissue paper. Use your favorite, by all means; whether it be floral, striped, polka-dotted, or bold colored. The materials you use reflect the person you are (according to the buyer). I buy big stacks of white tissue paper for $1.00 at Dollar Tree. imageimageimage

TIP 4: Decorate! Use ribbon, baker’s twine, printed tape, or whatever you have. Create pretty little bows or use scissors to make bouncy curls. Get creative! I myself find it kind of expensive to be buying ribbon all the time, but I got a big bulk of organic baker’s twine at Hobby Lobby for less than $10. That thing has lasted at least 50 transactions. You can also purchase baker’s twine or ribbons at Michael’s or any local craft store. imageimageimage

TIP 5:  Send some Posh love! A little thank you note let’s your buyers know that you appreciate their business and that you hope they will return. Trust me, a little love can go a long way. If you don’t have any thank you cards available, you can always use printing/construction paper to make one. Just use your scissors to cut some decorative edges (like waves or something) and fold it in half. Then write a little sweet personalized message; aaaaaaannnnnndddd  WALA!imageimage

Well, there you go! 5 tips for shipping your sold items on Poshmark. Now you’re ready to print your shipping label and ship it out! Hope you all enjoyed this and found this helpful. Stay tuned for more Poshmark tips!imageimageimage

      Hello Kristy,

Poshmark does not provide boxes or other types of packaging. They do, however, recommend that you use the free Priority Mail boxes that are available at your local post office. Now, if you’re talking about tissue paper, tape, or any other cute packaging items, those you have to buy yourself. I recommend to buy these things at a dollar store to minimize expense. Although you are not required to package your sold items using cute packaging, we like to do it to receive good ratings and keep our customers coming back. I plan on writing a post about this, so stay posted! I hope this helped. 😉
      Love,
      Mrs. Nayla
